Build from the inside out.
Most organizations meet new technology by adding another tool. C&C starts one layer deeper: what must the institution be able to remember, decide, prove, and continue no matter which tool is currently doing the work?
Capability before products
A durable organization needs more than output. It needs context, relationships, evidence, rights, authority, decision history, and a way to tell the difference between an attractive answer and an institutional fact. Those capabilities should exist before scale makes their absence expensive.
Why AI makes this visible
Foundation models made computation abundant. They also made continuity fragile: different sessions can answer differently, provider memory is not institutional memory, and confidence is not evidence. ACORN emerged from treating that mismatch as an institutional continuity problem rather than a prompt-writing problem.
Publish method before mechanism
When C&C finds a method that can help outside the Company, the goal is to articulate the useful method without exposing the private institutional context that produced it. The Living Context Model and the Context Integrity Review prompt are early examples: public enough to use, bounded enough to protect what should remain private.
Reciprocity matters.
Public methods are not a one-way marketing channel. People use them, modify them, disagree with them, and produce new observations. ACORN can record and weigh that response as outside evidence. Useful learning can improve the next public method without turning popularity into truth.
The work has to hold up in public.
Our own sites are part of the work. A public surface should be understandable, recoverable, and able to improve without losing the decisions that shaped it. We would rather publish something useful, learn from how it is received, and keep what we learned than treat incompleteness as a reason never to publish.
